Exploring the Potential of AI as a Creative Freelancer

By

May 9, 2023

Everyone is talking about ChatGPT these days and how the AI revolution is rapidly changing the creative and media industries. Will robots replace copywriters, photographers, illustrators and designers? How will AI shape the future of work?

Echo’s new Digital Skills - Future Facing workshop series, in partnership with Loughborough University London, is designed for creative freelancers, small business owners and entrepreneurs who want to explore the potential of Web3, AI and new technologies to reshape their brands, digital presence, and business strategies.

While critical conversations about the moral implications of AI tools are still needed, we are inevitably facing a new era of digital work. Instead of ignoring its existence, we encourage our community of freelancers to step into the conversation with a curious mind. As the saying goes: the more we know, the less we fear.

That's why we've curated the Digital Skills - Future Facing workshop series, featuring experts from the AI and metaverse sphere. The four workshops this spring break down complex concepts into practice-led and interactive sessions that are free for all to attend. Join us to learn how future-facing digital tools can help you to grow your business!

Our first workshop lead is with James Kaguima, Founder of Skate Cabal, a multi award-winning platform that amplifies safe spaces, stories & culture for the Roller-Skating community in the UK.

A business that started in 2021, when he witnessed how Roller-skating united people during lockdown and helped the community overcome social isolation and mental health issues.

Read more about James' journey here.

Join us for An Introduction to Digital Entrepreneurship by James Kaguima, Thursday, June 8th 18:00 - 21:00 BST at HTA Design. Book your free place in the workshop here.

We look forward to seeing you there!
