We’re a specialist brand-design practice based in East London. We focus on building beautiful brands which tell great stories. Having both worked in Central London branding agencies on blue-chip clients for over 13 years, we set up Adventure Stories to offer that experience to boutique brands in a bespoke and very personalised way.
Whilst design is at the heart of what we do, before we ever put pencil-to-paper we take our clients through a strategic process of clarifying their aims and ambitions. We struck on six key-questions which we challenge every client to answer as succinctly as possible. This process offers a clarity which ensures the design we do is both distinctive and rigorously appropriate to the business goals.
On learning about Echo, it struck us how unique their proposition was. The concept of a currency of exchanged services really resonated with us. We’ve loved being involved with Echo on both a personal and business level. From attending workshops where we’ve learnt to craft and make, to running our own, we’ve met some lovely people (and a few clients) along the way.
Off the bat, we spent our first ever Echoes on sessions with business and start-up mentor Nils Millahn, who offered us really structured and insightful advice on areas to focus and prioritise in establishing the business.
Subsequently, we’ve offered two branding workshops through Echo, which included a day working with the Creative++ programme.
Via Echo workshops, we were lucky enough to be introduced to Trine and Camilla at Foreign Affairs Theatre, and David and Esana at social enterprise Vine Connect. They were both lovely organisations to work with, and we were super-chuffed to win Indigo Design Awards this year on the work we did for them.
Join as many networked groups as you can. Along-side Echo and Mainyard Studios we’re also part of a start-up mentoring group which offers us the opportunity to share knowledge and connect with new brands.
Alongside promoting our new work, we’re in the process of planning a branding workshop and have been invited to write several articles. And whilst Zoom has certainly been the hero of this year, meeting more of our clients face-to-face again is something we’re really looking forward to.
Absolutely. One of our key specialisms is branding for food & beverage. Earlier this year we designed the branding and packaging for a soon-to-launch new range of plant-based spreads called Cornish Roots all lovingly made in the Cornish countryside. We can’t wait to share our work on this.
Our digital skills future-facing series explores the latest emerging digital trends and skills relevant to small business owners, freelancers and start-ups to pivot their businesses using technology, artificial intelligence and the gateway to the metaverse.
